One size does not fit all, that's especially true with counselling. We understand that every individual has different expectations, wants, needs, impacts and strengths. Knowing this, your counsellor will discuss and apply a range of counselling techniques to meet your identified therapy goals and foster an environment of safety and respect. Frequently used approaches may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Polyvagal Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy, Person Centered Therapy and Play Therapy.

Raising children is the most challenging profession. You may find yourself confronted with triggers from your own childhood or in a situation that is completely new and scary. We offer sessions to adults with the sole focus of providing evidence based and trauma informed information on how to support your child/ren with their challenges. This may include enhancing your skill set in understanding their unique trauma responses and how to approach those difficult conversations about mental health, self-harm, sex education and consent, and experiences of bullying or abuse, including sexual.
The Shark Cage Framework was developed by Melbourne psychologist, Ursula Benstead. The Five Step framework is a way of preventing, understanding and healing from violence against girls and women. It is based on the concept of Universal Human Rights and draws on a powerful metaphor and multiple psychological modalities for working in trauma informed ways to help women interrupt patterns of abuse in their lives and in ways that empower girls and women and challenge victim blaming. https://www.thesharkcage.com/
